ACE GALLERY David Amico
At work today I was following a Ryan rabbit hole, chasing paintings and painters through the magnet 0's and 1's, and I ran accross ol' man Amico's name and revisited his ACE page and BAM I re-fell in love with his tough paintings. Color, composition, and materials giving you a smack on the ass, but with a follow up hug of an awesome sensative eye for the poetic and beauty Awesome stuff and all the confidence of a chain smoking, whiskey drinking, white t-shirt wearing, self romanticized idea of an L.A. painter "dude" who secretly listens to Belle & Sebastion and Nick Drake.
